Hey, Wendy. Love the site and the pictures. Never seen a potoo before. I gather they don’t live in the plains. Thank god for you and the other conservationist. Do you know if they were able to do anything about the massacre Of the “eco-friendly ” resort in the hill forest of negril?

Thanks, Kenroy and the few others who have posted comments.
I haven’t heard anything more about that big Negril proposal.
I WONDER (but have no idea) whether it has anything to do with the “major investment in health tourism” promised by the Spanish Ambassador by year-end? See article below:

NEGRIL, Westmoreland – Spanish Ambassador to Jamaica, Jesus Silva, announced earlier this week that the island should expect another major Spanish investment by year-end in the area of health tourism. [ETC.]

Connection to JA is my husband and we plan to return in the next couple of years to reside. I am currently studying for a degree in Environment & Science here in the UK as an Adult Learner part time. I am a member of many animal and ecological groups here. I hope to be able to join or start one in the area we will settle. We have enough land to maybe even offer shelter for some animals but have to “discuss” that first with the other half.
I would also like to get deeply involved in “educating” the population and the foreign investors.
